WELCOME TO HILL CITY

Hill City is located in Pennington County and was the first settlement in the County but the second in the Black Hills after Custer.

Known best for the 1880’s train, Hill City has a colorful history and is now home to a booming tourism industry. Hill City is known for its art and culture in the Black Hills as well as an archeological and geological hub!

Ever heard of Sue…the Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton? That was discovered in the Hill City area.

Known as the Heart of the Hills, you can’t go wrong with calling Hill City home.
